Hong Kong - day 1!

We landed in Hong Kong at around 8am and got on a bus to our hotel after a very easy journey through Hong Kong airport! We arrived at our hotel in Causeway Bay, dropped our bags and then headed out for a wander before we could check in. We wandered up the waters edge towards Wan Chai, and got our bearings of the city. We then came back and checked into our hotel and soon went out again to keep exploring. Getting on the metro to Quarry Bay, we wandered round the extensive residential areas, amazed by the architecture and how so many people could live in one building! Following this, we got on the metro to Central where we met some of mums friends Christine and Barry who took us for a very fancy dinner at the Ladies Recreational Club, we enjoyed the view and had a yummy dinner! After this we got on the star ferry across to Tsim Sha Tsui and walked along the harbour admiring the city at night!Baca lagi

Hong Kong - Day 2

We woke up at about 10.30 slightly jet lagged and decided to head to Mongkok to the ladies market on the MTR. After an easy journey, we wandered around the market making a few purchases and looked around the surrounding area. As we had to get back to Hong Kong Island, we wandered down through Jordan down Nathan Road towards TST where we looked at the city in the day and it was certainly just as impressive! After taking some pictures and taking in the view, we got the star ferry again (for a whopping 37p) back over to Wan Chai. After getting off a very busy Star Ferry - due to it being a Sunday - we walked towards the Grand Hyatt hotel where we were meeting Christine and Barry for afternoon tea. We were absolutely spoilt with the most delicious food and company and came out feeling so full that we won’t have to eat for a few days! After leaving them we headed up the peak on the bus and got a front spot at the viewing platform for the lights show at 8pm. It was as amazing as I remember, and we were so lucky it was such a clear night! An amazing day!Baca lagi

Hong Kong - day 3

Today was such a good day! Millie and I woke up at 10 and it was sunny so quickly got dressed and caught the bus up to Victoria peak. We decided to do the walk around the top of the Peak and so started walking along the footpath. We soon reached the most incredible viewing point over the whole city and luckily, due to the weather, the visibility was insane! So lucky. We walked around the rest of the trail stopping at numerous points for pics and to look at the view. After returning to the peak look out where the trail starts and ends, we decided to go to a cafe that looks right out onto the city for some lunch, it was the best view ever. After this, we got the bus down and came back to the hostel to get changed as it was getting a little chilly (20 degrees so not actually too bad haha). We then got the star ferry for a whopping 27p today to TST and looked at the harbour as a very stormy sky set in over the city. Luckily we had our raincoats! Fortunately the rain held off for the next few hours, so we headed over to Temple Street Night Market. Here, we wandered through the market making some purchases and stopping for the most delicious street food. Was so much fun!Baca lagi

Hong Kong - day 4

Today was the most hilarious day ever. We set off from our hotel at 11 planning to do the Dragons Back hike from Happy Valley to Shek O however this didn’t quite go as planned. We started on the Hong Kong trail and took a wrong turn somewhere meaning we got stuck on the trail and were walking for 5 hours. When we eventually could get off the trail, we realised we hadn’t even started hiking the dragons back and so started this, already so tired from our 5 hours before!! Not only this, but we couldn’t find our way down from the Dragons back so this took another 1.5 hours! Was hilarious. Very tired, very thirsty, very sweaty and very hungry we came back to our hotel on the bus finally after 6.5 hours hiking! Far longer than we’d intended to walk for hahah. We then bought some dinner and had a picnic at the top of the peak In our VERY comfy clothes with an amazing view of the city below!! Our last night in Hong Kong - we will miss this city!Baca lagi

Today we woke up to so so much rain for our last day in Hong Kong. We checked out of our hotel and headed to the ladies market in Mongkok to do some last minute purchases! We bought our things and the next minute it was absolutely torrential rain! Was crazy. We headed to a cafe for lunch and hung out there writing our diaries etc. We then decided to get the star ferry over the harbour at 8pm to see the lights show! It was an amazing last view of the city. We flew to Sydney that night at 11pm! So excited for Australia!Baca lagi

Today we landed in Australia at midday and headed to Millie’s dads friends house where we will be staying in Sydney! Her apartment has the most amazing view of the Sydney harbour bridge and the opera house, so lucky! We headed out and walked to the botanical gardens and opera house and had a look round to get our bearings! We then got some dinner and sat with a view of the harbour bridge and opera house!!! Early bed tonight as we have an early start in the morning for the blue mountains!!Baca lagi

Australia - day 2

Today was such a good day. We got up super early and walked to Sydney central station where we were catching the bus to Katoomba to get to the blue mountains. The sun was out and we were so excited. We soon arrived after a 2 hour train ride and it was incredible! The views were amazing and the waterfalls were equally as impressive. We walked around and did a hike and then had lunch at a viewing platform! Was amazing. We then came back on the train and got changed before heading out to the opera house in the sun!! We had a couple of drinks at the opera bar to celebrate Millie’s birthday tomo. Was so much fun and the bar had such good vibes!Baca lagi

Australia - day 3

Today was Millie’s bday!! I stayed up last night and decorated the room with some balloons and banners and we woke up late ish. We then walked down to circular quay and caught the ferry to Manly beach. The journey was amazing, although the weather wasn’t that good the ferry went straight past the opera house and the Sydney harbour bridge - was so cool! We walked around the town and there was a market on as it was a Saturday so we looked around it and bought a sandwich for lunch. As the day got brighter we sat and ate lunch on the beach before heading down the beach where there was a giant beach volleyball tournament going on - was so cool! We caught the ferry back, had dinner at Claire’s and had some drinks before heading to a club called side bar to celebrate at for Millie’s bday! Was such a fun day!Baca lagi

Australia - day 4

Today we woke up rather hungover and had to pack our bags to head to Bondi Beach. After tiredly packing we caught the train to Bondi Junction and soon arrived at Bondi Beach after carrying our bags all the way down! It was amazing weather and we sunbathed, it was so busy as it was a Sunday but such a good vibe! We then went to our Airbnb which is so cool - it’s like a shared house between 4 different guests so we just have a bedroom in rhe house and then everyone shared the kitchen living room etc. We then headed back to the beach to sunbathe and we ended up falling asleep on the beach! We headed back up to the Airbnb, stopping at the supermarket on the way to buy some dinner and cooked some pizzas and took these and salad to the beach for dinner - was so yum! We stayed down there and chatted, watched the surfers at dusk and came back and showered. Such a good first day - we love Bondi so far!Baca lagi

Today was the best day! We decided to wake up at 6.15am to see the sunrise at Bondi Beach! We packed a picnic lunch and our beach bags and headed down at about 6.45. We sat on the beach as the sun rose and it was beautiful. Whilst we were sitting there a man came over and said he was about to propose and asked us if we could take some pictures. We took them and it was the CUTEST thing ever! After this we did the walk along from Bondi to Coogee and came back for açai bowls for breakfast, was so yum! We then spent the day sunbathing on the beach and staying for golden hour, was the most beaut day! We came back, cooked pasta, chilled and chatted. Such a fun day!!Baca lagi

Australia - day 6

Today was so much fun, we woke up and it was a completely blue sky and boiling hot! We headed down to the beach and sunbathed for the whole morning! We were so worried about getting burnt because it was SO hot! We went up to Bondi icebergs took some pictures and got frozen yogurt was so yum! After this we sunbathed til the evening and found some proper tea at the house so had tea and wrote our diaries. We then went out for pizza and jugs of beer at Hotel Bondi! We got caught in a storm coming back from dinner though and had to run through torrential rain back fo our air bnb!Baca lagi

Today we chilled at the Airbnb and watched some movies as the weather wasn’t very good! We then got the train back into Sydney back go stay with Clare and Stuart. She made us a yummy dinner and we sat outside chatting and playing cards! Millie and I then got ready to go out and drunk lots of goon - a cheap local wine that every traveller in Australia drinks as it’s only $13 for 4.5 litres! We went to a ‘spring break’ themed club night - it was so fun! We bumped into some friends from Reigate college in the club aswell!Baca lagi

Today we were so hungover so ate cereal and chilled on the sofa. We headed to Sydney central station that evening and caught the over night bus to Byron bay. We are so excited to go here! The bus took 13 hours and we didn’t sleep very well but so happy to be in Byron!Baca lagi

Today was the best day. We arrived in Byron bay at 7am and it was bright sunshine! We met up with George a friend from Reigate and his Australian friend Ethan in our hostel. We sunbathed, went in the sea, watched the boys surf and chilled on the beach. We then came back to the hostel and went on our first night out in Byron. It was so fun and we went to a club where you dance on the tables!Baca lagi

Today we decided to treat ourselves to a yummy breakfast as we were very hungover! We ate this and then headed up to the Byron bay lighthouse. We had an ice cream here and headed to the most easterly point in Australia! We then came back and chilled on the beach with new friends. After this we all had a snooze and headed out to watch the amazing sunset on the beach followed by a free dinner! We went out again and watched lots of buskers on the streets before going clubbing! I met the nicest people this night. We’re hoping to hang out with them again at the Gold Coast!Baca lagi

Today was the best day. We woke up at 7.30am to go and kayak with the dolphins. Oh my it was the best thing ever! The dolphins were jumping out of the water around our boat and surfing the waves right in front of us. We also saw loads of turtles and had Australian Tim tams and hot choc on the beach. Was incredible! We then chilled on the beach and had a barbecue at our hostel! Headed out tonight as it was the boys’ last night! It was st Patrick’s day and we had so much fun! Australia - day 12 best day!

Today was the best day ever ever ever. We did a SKYDIVE!!!!!! We got up at 7.45 and headed to the centre, me millie and George ready to go up 15,000 ft! We were nervous but luckily the weather was incredible so we were also so excited. It was the most amazing feeling ever and when the parachute came out the views were incredible. I LOVED it!!!!! We then had lunch and chilled before Ethan and George left:( we met the nicest girl called susanna and chilled with her, decided to have a night off from going out so went to the beach for sunset which was beautiful and then had dinner with everyone in our hostel! So much fun :)Baca lagi

Today we we got up super early at 5.45 to hike to the lighthouse in Byron bay for sunrise! Me millie and a girl from our hostel called susanna walked all the way up and it did not disappoint. It was incredible! After this hike we had a well earned breakfast with susanna at a cafe right on the beach it was so nice! We then went down on the beach and sunbathed and watched some friends from our hostel have a surf less - it was so funny! We then caught the bus to Brisbane and met up with George and Ethan again who had treated themselves to a hotel room!! We had a bbq all together and had a pre before heading out to a club called sin - city, it was our last night together which was sad :( I managed to chip my tooth slightly which was annoying but we still had a great night!Baca lagi

Today was our first day in surfers paradise! We woke up and walked to the boys hotel where they were checking out before heading down to he beach. We chatted and went in the sea and then had a very sad goodbye :( at about 2 we walked to meet our friend called susanna as she had just arrived in surfers paradise! We all chilled together and then we bought tickets for a club crawl! We for free dinner and went to 5 different clubs! I met up with the girls from Byron we met and we had such a fun night!! One of the clubs was called bedroom and had king size beds everywhere, it was hilarious!Baca lagi

Today we woke up a little hungover and Millie slept in whilst I went and met susanna on the beach! We chilled, bought some new jewellery and then came back to meet millie and all said goodbye to susanna :( was so sad!! Millie and I then chilled at our hostel pool for the day which was so nice and we met so many people! We headed down to the beach to watch the sunset and then we also saw the moon rise over the sea! Cooked a HUGE dinner and chatted with all our friends from our hostel. We then went to bed - our first night in in a while!!Baca lagi

Australia - day 16

Today we woke up feeling fresh after our night in and headed down to the bike shop after our free hostel breakfast (not the best but free food is always nice on a budget haha)! We rented bikes which had baskets on and everything and cycled along surfers paradise beach down the Gold Coast to Burleigh Heads. It was so beaut and we sat and ate lunch on the beach which we had cooked last night! We then locked our bikes up and walked through the national park in Burleigh Heads to the creek and chilled there! Was so nice and felt kind of like the rainforest a bit! We then headed back and cycled home, as fast as we could because the bike shop was closing soon hahhaa. We had dinner on the beach and then went to this huge market along the sea front - was so cool and we bought matching necklaces! We then watched the most amazing busker and headed back to our hostel. We were planning on having a night in but we got pulled into going on another club crawl however we managed to get the price down from $80 to $10!!! Bargain! We went out with friends from the other night and had the best time!Baca lagi

Today we woke up and had our final free breakfast before checking out of the hostel. We went and chilled by the hostel pool and met the nicest girl who was also coming on our bus later that day! We all got the bus to Brisbane together which was actually really short and decided we would spend the day together tomorrow! Millie and I checked into our hostel called Nomads which was kind of odd like a school and there was such a range of ages in our room - from 18-65!! Weird! We headed out to explore Brisbane and walked to south bank where we chilled and had some food. We then went back to our hostel to get ready for bed but bumped into some friends from Gold Coast and they somehow managed to convince us to go out haha! We all went for a big pre with some Irish boys and all us girls and then went out to the club attached to our hostel! Was so much fun!Baca lagi

Today was so much fun! We headed to the south bank parklands which is like a man made beach and lagoon right in the middle of Brisbane city! So strange! We chilled here with our friend from the bus and as we lay there 2 girls from Reigate college spotted us and came over - so random! We sunbathed, swam, got smoothies but it was SO hot we could hardly bare it. We went back to our hostel and on our way back got given a voucher for free dinner! We ordered dinner and ate on the roof of our hostel it was so nice!! We then chilled, watched a documentary together on the roof and went to bed:)Baca lagi

Today we woke up early and packed all our stuff up before checking out of the hostel. I had a dentist appointment at 9am so we headed to the dentist which was handily right opposite our hostel and I got my tooth fixed. She did such a good job, was so pleased! We then went and got the nicest açai bowls for breakfast and ate on the grass in the middle of the city. After breakfast, we rented these electric scooters that everyone rides in Brisbane and omg it was the most fun thing ever! You just stand with two feet on the scooter and shoot around, was so so good! We then headed to the botantical gardens on our scooters and chilled here and wrote our diaries for like 2 hours ( we were quite behind haha). After, we headed back to our hostel and Collected our bags before getting on the bus to Noosa! We arrived at our hostel Nomads and checked into our room, there was the nicest boy in our room called Charlie so we went for dinner us 3 and then got ready to go out! Our friend susanna from Gold Coast was here aswell so we all went out in the club attached to our hostel - so fun!Baca lagi

Australia - day 20

Today was our first full day in noosa! We woke up and sunbathed by the pool and played catch in the pool with some boys from our hostel which I actually won haha! We then met up with a group of people from another hostel and susanna and all walked along the coast to the fairy pools. They were so so cool and we swam in them before heading back to the beach. Was so fun! We then said goodbye to susanna for good this time :( we were so upset! Me Charlie and Millie then went and bought a snack and sat around the pool with a massive group of people from our hostel, it was so fun! Tonight was ladies night so all the girls got free drinks and if the boys dressed up as girls they got free drinks too! Literally every boy was dressed up it was so funny! We had such a fun night:)Baca lagi
