Today was the best day!!! Was Easter Sunday and got to spend it with our best friends!! We met up after breakfast and all went to seminyak beach to a beach club called Azul! Was so so nice and rather fancy! Had some beers and chilled by the pool, still with so much to catch up on!’ We then headed for a delicious veggie burger for lunch and went back and got ready! Spent the evening at skygarden together where it was all you can eat and drink for £5! We were so excited to be together and definitely made the most of the free drinks!Читать далее

Today we woke up so hungover and checked out of our hostel in Seminyak to head to Canggu. Here we checked into the NICEST hostel ever it felt like a hotel! Called the farm hostel and it was so beautiful! Spent the day sunbathing and chilling by the pool. We went back into seminyak in the evening to have dinner with Liz Daria and the boys as they were leaving tonight! After dinner we went and met up with some boys Elizabeth and Daria met in Bali for a drink - was so fun!Читать далее

Had the best açai bowls from green guru for breakfast ever! We then Spent the day chilling by the pool and it just so happened that some girls I went to school with when I was 7-11 years old at reigate priory were staying in the same hostel as us! We sunbathed together in the day and then headed to a bar called old mans for a drink! Was so nice, sat here for sunset and it was two beers for £1.20, 60p per beer! Bargain! One of the girls Roxie then got a tattoo which was exciting!Читать далее

Today we woke up and went to a cafe called crate for breakfast which was so beaut and food was incred! We then sunbathed for the day with people from our hostel as it was so hot and made some progress with the tan! Millie and I then headed out for an açai bowl for dinner! The man kept the shop Green guru open for us and chatted to us as we ate, he then offered us a lift to a bar which of course we took haha! Had some drinks at a bar called pretty poison which was full of skaters! It was our first evening just us two in forever so was so nice!Читать далее

Today was such a good day! Sad goodbye to the priory girls as they were leaving which was sad and had breakfast at our hostel! mils and I then sunbathed by the pool before liz and Daria came to join us for the day again!!’ Was so exciting to see eachother again:) we chilled with people from our hostel all together around the pool then headed down to old mans again for sunset. Had lots of 60p beers and watched the sunset on the beach at a place called sandbar! We then headed for our final dinner together at echo beach which was so nice! Had another few beers and chilled at our hostel together, still with so much to catch up on!Читать далее

Bali - day 12

Today we got up and went for a final breakfast with Liz and Daria at Crate cafe. The food was delicious and then we headed back to the farm to swim and sunbathe before mils and I left! Was a very very sad goodbye but hopefully we will see them in Laos or something. We finally arrived in Ubud after a very sweaty journey to our tiny hostel called Vanara Sigwira. It is so small but homely so is basically like a homestay and only £4 a night! We dropped our bags and headed straight to the scared monkey forest which was incredible - SO many monkeys everywhere and one even stayed tickling my toes and climbing on my skirt which I found terrifying haha! We then walked to some rice fields to have a look at the sunset before having a meal with a view of the rice terraces! I went for Indonesian which was interesting but good to try new food haha!Читать далее

Today we rented a moped for the day and visited the Tegalalang rice terraces at sunrise which were beautiful and walked around here for the morning - it also meant it wasn’t too hot whilst we were there! I managed to slip at one point and my foot got buried in a rice paddy lol!! We then headed to two waterfalls. The first was called Kanto Lampo and it was beautiful - it was huge and not too busy! The second we went to was called Tukad Cepung equally as impressive and so cool - it was inside a cave so the light came in from the top!! It was all misty down there and felt almost magical lol. We then came back starving and had late lunch at a restaurant called Bali budda - was delicious! Chilled at the hostel after a very busy day and had an early night as we had to get up at 1am the next morning!Читать далее

Today we woke up at 1am to hike up Mount Batur! Was so cool climbing in the dark with torches although there is literally no path so your climbing up rocks - was quite slippy! We got to the top at about 5.30am ready for sunrise and it was INCREDIBLE! The colours were insane and we sat and had pieces of bread (a literal slice of bread) and a boiled egg as a luxury breakfast! ;) haha! We then looked ar all the steam coming out near the crater and headed down which was actually harder work that going up! When we got down we were absolutely knackered so chilled at our hostel for the day and made friends with a group of girls who were also staying there! We then headed out for a wander around Ubud and a very delicious dinner!Читать далее

Today we woke up and got on a ferry to Gili Trangwan! We had to wait ages at the start to board the ferry but luckily we had uno to keep us occupied haha! We met some people on the ferry called Will, Liv and Liam who were so nice and they were also staying in our hostel Gili Mansion! We checked into our VERY small room and then headed down to the beach for some dinner. Came back and went in the pool, it’s so fun you can jump in from a platform a few metres above the pool! got ready to go out with our new friends and went for pre drinks at Gili castle. Was such a fun first night out in gili T - it is known for partying! :)Читать далее

Today we woke up very very hungover and headed to the beach! Found a. Really nice cafe/bar with sun beds and spent the day here! Had some lunch and sunbathed - it was boiling! We then headed back to the hostel and went in the pool where we met a really nice couple of boys, played basketball in the pool with them and had dinner! Met a lady from the US who was actually coincidently called Carly and who lives on Gili T. We chatted to her all about her daily life on this tiny island! Today we woke up early and rented bikes for the day! We rode around the whole island in about 45 minutes and then headed to a famous swing and met a really nice girl here! Chilled with her and took some pics on the swings before heading back to our favourite bar to sunbathe. At around 4pm we headed to paradise sunset bar for some beers and sunset. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best sunset but was still so nice to see! Went out again this night with everyone from our hostel - was so much fun!Читать далее

Today we woke up feeling rather hungover but made ourselves get up and cycle our bikes again. We cycled the whole island again which was so nice and a great hangover cure!!! We then went and sunbathed with some hostel friends on the beach and wrote our diaries before a huge rainstorm!!! Hung out at the hostel and had dinner here before heading out - because the roads were so wet we had to wear flip flops! Was so strange we bumped into Alex a friend of ours from Australia in jungle bar and had no idea he was even in Bali - was so fun. Tonight the night out finished at 12 aswell because of the holy day on a Friday!Читать далее

Today we woke up and it was our last day in Gili T :( headed to our favourite sun beds for the final time and ordered our famous order of pizza! We have become regulars lol. Had a sad goodbye to our barmen and headed back to the hostel to chill at the pool with our friends from Australia! We then walked to paradise sunset bar again and there was the most incredible sunset! You could literally see the suns rays! Did some star gazing and then headed to Hotel Villa Ombak to an outdoor cinema on the beach, layed on sun beds watching the movie - it was so cool! Millie then felt rather awful after this and there was some sick involved - Bali belly to the max!Читать далее

Today we checked out of our hostel and got on a glass bottom boat with all our bags to go snorkelling! It cost us £5 for the whole day which was a bargain. Saw turtles, these amazing statues in the water and so many fish in the clearest sea ever!! Was so cool. We then got dropped at our next destination Gili Air. got rather sweaty walking to the hostel but Gili Air is literal paradise - a really chilled out tiny quiet island! Our hostel is lots of small shacks which are so cute! We bumped into our friends from Gili T so went for sunset drinks and had a delicious mexican for dinner all together - was so much fun! During the meal there was a 20 minute power cut which apparently happens most days was so funny.Читать далее

Today we woke up - our first morning on this beautiful island! Went for a crepe for breakfast at a delicious place called breadicious which is owned by an Italian man who lives here and wanted good breakfast so started his own cafe! We relaxed round the pool and met so many people. Put friends from Gili T left which was sad! We then headed to the beach for a little date night and had dinner with an incredible sunset. Came back and chilled at the hostel with everyone - such a fun day!Читать далее

Today was really good, we went to our favourite french cafe for breakfast and then chilled by the pool for the day as the weather was incredible! Met a really nice girl from broadstairs and her parents own The cafe on the beach next to Viking bay! Had a ping pong tournament at the hostel which was funny. Spent the day chatting to her and her boyfriend and then there was the biggest rainstorm. Sat in the huts outside chatting to people from our hostel waiting for the rain to pass and then headed for dinner in the cutest restaurant ever with friends from the hostel. Had to wade through puddles to this restaurant but Ramadan started today so it was the only one open!Читать далее

Today was our final day in Gili Air and we were so sad. This place is so tiny and quiet with way less tourists than Bali - it has felt like a proper paradise! Spent the day with our hostel friends chilling and chatting. We then walked the whole island as the sun set, it was so beaut! Sat at the cutest restaurant for dinner and ate as the sun was setting and used this fancy hotels pool which was lucky! We then walked to another outdoor cinema and this one was incredible on the beach with the most starry sky ever! Sat and watched the film LION which was amazing and we even saw a shooting star as we were watching it! Such a good final day here!Читать далее

Bali - day 24

Today we got up early ish and headed down to the port to leave Gili Air! Had breakfast on the boat and arrived at our next island Nusa Penida at lunch time. Checked into our beaut hostel Nuansa Penida hostel and got cold tea and snacks on arrival, very fancy! We chilled here and met some really nice girls who we decided to spend tomorrow with! had some lunch and then rented mopeds to ride the east coast of the island. The island is actually huge so we rode through so many villages on the way which was amazing to see some proper Balinese villages. We eventually reached Thousand Island viewpoint after a very bumpy ride which was just incredible. The view was insane we were in love! We then headed down a very scary footpath (Mummy would have hated it) to Diamond beach and this was just as amazing, one of the best beaches I have ever ever been to. Watched as the sun set and then rode back to our hostel; the ride was so much fun as the sun went amazing colours and we stopped at a restaurant on the beach front on the way back for some dinner! Today was the BEST day ever!!!! Met up with our friends we met yesterday and we had rented a car and driver for the day to do the west coast of the island. We started off going to Klingking Beach which was just as beautiful as all the pictures we’d seen, walked down the steep steps and saw some monkeys! We then headed to angels billabong and broken beach which were also both so beautiful - the water was so blue! After this we headed to Crystal bay where we had lunch all together and swam in the sea! Headed back to the hostel and chilled by the pool, knackered from the day! Millie and I then very spontaneously decided we wanted to see the sun set so we quickly rented mopeds and rode down to Crystal bay again to see the most beautiful sunset ever! Stopped on the way home at a restaurant for some well needed dinner and ended up bumping into our really good friend Gina from Australia here - so fun!Читать далее

Today we got up and got a ferry to our next Indonesian island for a quick day tour! We arrived in Nusa Lembongan at about 8.30am after getting a local ferry over! Got in the most hilarious van car thing to dream beach which really was a dream. Spent the day here sunbathing, having a yummy beach lunch and swimming in the sea! Was incredible. We then had a hideous walk to mushroom bay in midday heat with our bags which took us ages we thought we were gonna die lol! Had a drink at a beach bar and then got on our ferry back to Bali! Arrived in Uluwatu at about 4pm and checked into our new hostel SRs backpackers! Had free dinner at the hostel and met so many people, our friend Gina then checked in and we spent the evening having a proper catch up with her as we hadn’t seen her in a month! Bali - day 27

Today was such a good day in Uluwatu. Woke up early and a group of 9 of us all headed down to Padang Padang beach (hidden beach). We all had the most delicious smoothie bowls in a cafe nearby and then headed down to the beaut beach. A couple of them rented surfboards and surfed and we swam and chatted all together. At about 1 we all headed back to the hostel to get ready and then all got on a party bus (25 of us) to a place called OMNIA Bali! It was so fancy and so much fun and the hostel got us in for free - we had the literal best day here. Got a free cocktail and the place was on the edge of a cliff with an infinity pool! We danced all afternoon to the best DJ with a huge group from our hostel and then headed back to the hostel for free dinner later on. Played the most intense game of beer pong with the boys from our hostel and then all chatted all evening! The best day :)Читать далее

Today we woke up feeling very hungover lol. Chatted to a girl from our room on the rooftop and drank tea before heading to meet our bestie Hannah from Australia!! Was so so fun to see eachother here! Went for the yummiest breakfast at Beach Bowl Bali together and then chilled at her hotel pool chatting and catching up - we have missed eachother so much lol!! Then had to say bye to her and headed to the airport to catch our flight to Vietnam! The plane was tiny with no legroom lol haha! Bali has been so incredible, views and people we’ve met have been amazing, never wanna leave! But bring on Vietnam! :)Читать далее

Today we got up and headed to Kuta! Checked into our hostel Bali caps and did some well needed washing and sorted out our Vietnam visas! Today was our last day in Bali :( we chilled on the hostel rooftop sunbathing and then headed out for some yummy dinner. Got ready and then got in a taxi to go to Single Fin beach club for the evening. It was an outdoor club right on the edge of a cliff and was so so FUN. Had some pre drinks and then headed in with all the people from our hostel in Uluwatu who we spent yesterday with- was so much fun all being together again!! Had the best evening all together and then had to say bye to Gina and all our hostel friends which was so sad :( such a fun night out - best final night we could have ever asked for!Читать далее

Vietnam - day 1

Today we woke up on airport chairs in Singapore airport lol which was a very odd experience! We had slept all night here and woke up not even feeling that bad! We boarded our flight to Hanoi at about 9am and arrived at midday. Unfortunately we missed Daddy who was arriving into Singapore at 3pm :(! We checked into our hostel Vietnam backpackers downtown and then went out exploring. We visited the Hoàn Kiem lake which I recognised from last time I was here! We then headed to a place for Bahn Mi - Vietnamese sandwiches which were delicious! Headed to Ho chi minh’s mausoleum and then to train street which is a really narrow residential street with a train track through the middle! Had beers with an English couple and sat here until the train came though - it was so cool when the train comes through you all stand up and everything is put away in the houses! Headed back to the hostel and chatted to the people in our room before an early bed!Читать далее

Vietnam - day 2

Today we woke up super early to catch our 6.30am bus up to Sapa! We finally arrived at 1pm after our bus breaking down and having to swap buses haha! We met mama shushu at the bus stop who was the cutest smallest lady in the whole world! Our friend Ben from home was joining in Sapa so we reunited with him and a Dutch girl who was also joining and headed for a Vietnamese lunch! Set off in a group of 6 of us with Mama shushu for a 4 hour trek through the sapa hills as the sun set - it was absolutely stunning. The views were incredible and Mama’s laugh was the cutest thing ever! Arrived at her house at about 5pm and said bye to the people who had been on our trek! We hung out here with beers and met the other people staying with mama shushu - there were 8 of us or so! She served the most delicious dinner and there was so much of it! We then all drank rice wine with her and a Dutch girl bought a ukulele so we sang along to songs she sung - such a good day!Читать далее
