One Last Bite of London

When the curtain fell, it was already getting late.

The streets were still lively, but finding dinner proved more difficult than expected.

Every pub was playing the FIFA World Cup Final, and it seemed as though every pub in London was packed with football fans glued to giant television screens.

After wandering around for a while, I decided not to overthink it.

Sometimes a burger is exactly what you need.

So I walked into Five Guys, ordered a classic burger and fries, and happily called it dinner.

It wasn’t fancy.

It wasn’t uniquely British.

But after another full day of exploring London, it absolutely hit the spot.

Back at the hotel, I looked over the past few days.

Historic landmarks.

Colourful neighbourhoods.

Markets.

Coffee shops.

Musicals.

Countless kilometres on foot.

And, somehow, enough bags of coffee beans to make my suitcase noticeably heavier.

London had been everything I hoped it would be—and then some.
