Back on the boat, we headed upstream once again to go through the Wachau Valley. Beautiful scenery, lovely weather. Couldn't have been nicer.
Went through a lock. Not the first and not the last.
Stopped in Passau, Germany for part of the day. Took a guided tour, had lunch, wandered the streets and headed back to the ship. Heard stories about the floods over the centuries.
After lunch, we headed up to the Oberhaus Museum. It is a castle built originally in the 13th century high on a cliff overlooking the Danube and Passau.

Left the boat and met our driver, Milan, for the 3 hour drive to Prague. As we crossed the border from Germany into Czech Republic, the terrain got more hilly and it seemed like it became more rural.Read more
Took an hour long tourist boat trip on the river. We always like to do this. Easy, relaxing and you get a different view.
Toured around Prague. Took a funicular up to a park with a carousel, house of mirrors and a lookout tower.
