Antarctica day 6

Morning: Brown Bluff landing, another big adelie colony and some cool rock structures. Saw a massive glacier calving (noone got a video sadly).
Afternoon: Hope Bay / Esperanza zodiac cruise. Esperanza is a permanent Argentine base where 80 people live. It has a school / hospital / etc. People are chosen from Patagonia to move there for around a year at a time. We had an unsuspecting penguin jump into the boat, providing much entertainment. Then had the best whale experiences yet - around 1000 penguins swimming all around fishing for krill, with around 20 whales popping up in every direction between them.Läs mer
