    Dwellingup

    May 5 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

After a couple of toasties and coffee at the Lake Brockman we left Logue Brook on a nice fine morning. Although it was our longest ride (60km) we must have had our big boy pants on today as we both enjoyed the ride albeit the last 10 km from Nanga Brook to Dwellingup had a few nasty hills. There are a stack of single tracks and we also followed what used to be a rail alignment that ran in paralell to the Murray River south if Nanga Mill. Also went through the Alcoa mining area which may come as no surprise that Lloyd flouted the law again. We also ran on a few kms of the Alcoa access road which prompted Lloyd to remark that it was nearly as smooth as the roads that are built by Main Roads.- he's becoming quite perceptive! We also went through some Alcoa tunnels- Does anyone think that Lloyds bum looks big in those tunnels? Had lunch at Nanga Bk and came across a massive suspension ped bridge- very impressive. Anyhow very satisfying 5 hr ride arriving just before 4pm and we have now completed 877kms since leaving Albany. Late news on the pool table- another GP win 2-1 - undefeated on tour so farRead more
