These cottages date back to the 1930s give some feel for the conditions that the opal miners endured. They are maintained by volunteers and oddly enough kept being vandalised when fenced off. Now thatEn savoir plus
We bypassed the Maree Man (only visible from a plane) and Lake Eyre (just not enough time this trip) and headed directly for Roxby. A bit of washing to do tomorrow then some sightseeing.
The ruins of the historic town Farina, a testament to its history as a grainery, were a surprise for us. It's bakery is run for 2 month's of the year and utilises the original underground ovens,En savoir plus
No fuel here, but they have a great bakery. I was even able to be fed!
