The fence (not the white one)

Zealandia's predator-proof fence is around two metres tall and includes features to stop cats, weasels, etc. from climbing over, but also has mesh extending a short way underground to stop burrowing animals.
From the round-the-fence path there are some great views over Wellington City and beyond, and we pass under some power pylons carrying electricity from the Cook Strait cable, which comes ashore not far from here.Read more
