Shorter penguin today as was mainly a day of travel. We had a local breakfast in Hong Kong and then got the airport bus to the Incheon airport. We got our first bit of rain as soo as we got into the airport and the heavens opened so a great time to leave!
We both exchanged all our leftover Hong Kong dollars to Korean Won. Our flight was Cathay Airlines and was only 4 hours across to Seoul.
We arrived and thankfully as part of a booking.com promo Sinéad has managed to wangle a pickup from the airport to drop us off at our hotel. We were met by a young Korean guy who didn’t speak a word of English and we spoke to via translate apps. He drove us in a really comfy minibus like van which we reclined our seats in and chilled!
Was nice seeing the sunset over the Seoul night scape. Journey was roughly 45 mins and we arrived at our hotel/hostal. More rustic than Hong Kong but it will do the job! We are staying in a hipster area of Seoul called HongDae.
Once we dropped off the bags it was late so we went to a local Indian place across the road. Had a lovely chickpea curry and shared a korma and some naan with an Indian beer.Leer más
