With 4 days to get to Alice Springs our first night was in the nice town of Waikerie.
The day began with a ferry trip across the Murray River before a solid drive up through Port Augusta before spending the night at Glendambo Roadhouse.
Long day of driving spending the night at Kulgera Roadhouse with half day drive into Alice Springs tomorrow.
Caught up with the travelling team in Alice Springs with time to visit the supermarket, check out a camping shop, change a wearing tyre on the caravan and still have time to enjoy beer o’clock.Read more
Left Alice Springs this morning, after coffee, to head up the Tanami Track for the 4 day trek to Halls Creek.
Arrived into the Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater site and set up our vans for the night. Fairly basic facilities but clean. Walked up to the crater for a look and then back up again for sunset drinks.
Leaving Wolfe Creek alive and in one piece we headed off early for the last leg of the Tanami into Halls Creek.

Arrived early into Halls Creek to fuel up, pump up the tyres and a coffee. At the camping ground a lot of cleaning was undertaken to remove dust from cars, caravans and clothes.
