The crowning jewel of Cambodia in terms of Khmer culture, Angkor Wat represents one the remnants of the golden age of Khmer life before its decline following invasions by the Siams. The temple of Angkor Wat, as well as the many complexes that surround it, boast intricate and ornate architecture and sculpture work that are ostensibly unrivaled in Asia.
