The neverending gorge

From our lofty campsite with superb views of fold after fold of mountain, today is a day of descent.
Little did we expect such a long and spectacular gorge. If it were to be michelin-graded we would give it 3 stars. And yet there was nothing anywhere to indicate that it was anything beyond a small mountain road.
Its really hard to show in photos the scale, the variation, the fragility, the colours, the grandeur that we experience, mile after mile after mile.Read more
