Day 24 Reliegos
Distance from Calzadilla to Reliegos 17kms

Another easy day across remote country with little shade rest areas or villages for 17kms. At one stage we passed by a small stand of pines and spied an owl on the forest floor. Owl didn’t move we were fascinated as it stared back at us.
The path for a short time ran alongside a railway track and a goods train sped by strange to see automation in such remoteness.
We arrived in Reliegos just after midday a small village with mud dwellings and a resident stork. We sat in a shady spot and devoured a magnum! Dinner at the albergue tonight was vegan it was delicious.
