• Maria Island - Painted Cliffs

    The walk to Painted Cliffs is one of the most accessible beautiful and iconic scenery and wildlife spots on Maria Island.
    The walk may be a 1½-2hr return to the Ferry dock or Darlington, depending on your pace and number of stops. But it may be a little strenuous, up and down some long hills overlooking the bay, and along a beach or two, and you must time it to low tide to access the most iconic cliff faces.

    Stunning natural rock formations created by the ocean. The cliffs were mesmerizing—sandstone bands with layered patterns. They're also conveniently next to a beautiful beach with sapphire-blue water and white sand.
