• Rotary Lookout & WWII Radar Site

    August 9, 2024 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 23 °C

A great vantage point to look over Horseshoe Bay. A relatively easy walk up some old concrete steps and over granite boulders to a steel mesh viewing platform. It can also be a bit windy at the top!

The WWII Radar Site lookout is not exactly obvious; you need to climb some rocks and boulders, follow faded arrows that are now yellow dots, but once you get there, you will be blown away by the view.

Both lookouts are amazing, but Rotary is perhaps more for the sunset itself because that's the way it faces. You can see Murray Bay and Rose Bay from the highest point in the area from the WWII radar site.
