Owen Point Trail

Next up was the slightly longer and much wetter Owen Point Trail. There was a sign at the beginning that the trail was flooded in some places. For the most part it was just muddy but there was one lookout we couldn’t get to because of water. This trail wasn’t as nice as the boardwalk with not as much to see. The lookout points were all just slightly further down, looking at the same islands, Gull and High Bluff Islands. There were a lot of birds circling the island, which is their nesting grounds, but that was all there was to see.
This trail was conveniently right next to the camp store, so we finished off today’s trails with ice cream before heading back to our campsite.Read more
