Fly to the Mekong

Feeling rough with stuffy head and sinuses.
Anna was able to join me for breakfast at last. She's still feeling poorly but managed to eat. I've meanwhile picked up a cold from somewhere and am snuffly and blocked head.
We got a free airport transfer to Da Nang included in the hotel as it's low season.
1pm: 1.5 hour flight to Can Tho on Vietjet (£67 for both). Hotel was a half hour Grab away.
Green Village Mekong is in the middle of nowhere, beautiful place set on a river with hammocks. We were greeted with an iced kumquat juice, like a mojito, absolutely delicious. We're staying here for 2 nights @ £88 including breakfast and dinner.
We went for a wander around, not much to see apart from residential properties, lots of bananas and greenery. All the kids said hello to us.
After a lie down in the hammocks it was time for our dinner which was a feast! The Vietnamese are definitely feeders. There was rice, tofu in tomato sauce for me, pork for Anna and a veggie soup that cooked on a gas stove on the table in front of us. Plus some giant fortune cookie type things for dessert.
