    Rose Bay to Horseshoe Bay walk with pink rock walls.
    Frozen mango and juicy lychees are local delights
    Kilometres of sugar cane crops an awesome sight.

    Their green tall leaves sway lining sides of the road
    Suitcases weighing heavier under the canvas load.
    Arrived at Townsville in the middle of a heatwave
    Magnetic Island shimmered in the resultant haze.

    Another ferry trip taken across to Nelly Bay port
    Koala spotting walking to the World War II fort.
    With stinger suits & snorkels the wreck site we ensued
    Feeding carrots to rock wallabies who happily chewed.

    Devouring delicious gelato before it melts in your hand
    Townsville waterfront appreciated walking the Strand.
    A crocodile sighting, the beach closed with a red flag
    Detour to shady Queens Park certainly wasn’t a drag.

    Welcoming shadows under a myriad of tall trees
    Kaleidoscopic canopies swaying in the breeze.
    5am goat track walk to watch the sun rays show
    Marvelling in the new day’s radiant, orange glow.
