    Travelling north turned off to see the iconic Castle Slaughter
    With a cloudless sky its reflection picturesque in the water.
    Continued on via a winding valley road to Glencoe
    Views enhanced by a haunting solo bagpipe echo.

    Fort William for a lunch stop was today’s chosen place
    Walked it off climbing the steps of Neptune’s Staircase.
    Multiple folk visit Glenfinnan for it’s famous viaduct curve
    Jostling for best place and the Harry Potter train to observe.

    At Whispering Pine Lodge aside Loch Lochy we stayed
    Enjoyed the calm reflections as the sun did gently fade.
    Onto Eilean Donan Castle built where three lochs meet
    It’s popularity means for a car park you have to compete.
