Day 2 starts with a visit to the Jele Dzong which suffered damage from the same earth quakes that devastated parts of Nepal. Even though this is a very small mountain top Dzong the interior was very Czytaj więcej
After about 7 km straight uphill we made it to our first camp near Jele Dzong. We started at 2,390 m and camp is at 3,480 m altitude.
Just uphill from the National Museum of Bhutan in Paro the porters and guides load the horses and donkeys to begin our trek of the Druk Path which runs from Paro to Thimphu.
The hike to the Tigers Nest was strenuous but along the entire trail there were prayer wheels and flags that reminded you this is a spiritual place and that it was a privilege to experience.
