    Another climb in Pisaq

    March 17, 2023 in Peru

Alfredo started our morning with a visit to Christo Blanco, a beautiful gift from the Palestinians that is perched high above Cusco, over looking the square. From here we can see just how wide spread the city of 1 million people is. From there we drove to Pisaq, We stopped on the opposite side first where we could see across the valley our destination for the today. The ruin city of Inti Huatana. Time for another hike! This city is bigger than Machu Picchu, and we climbed, hiked and explored all of it. With an extra expansive terrace, storage sheds, clear king/queen housing, and a mountain side with over 3000 tombs, this city was well worth the climb and effort to get to it. The pinnacle is the lookout towers at the very top of the mountain. The views of the valley are just beautiful too.Read more
