Avignon, France

From Pont Du Gard we travelled to Avignon, a small city enclosed by a city wall. Affectionately known as the ‘City of Popes’ the UNESCO Heritage Site is home to the Papal Palace, or Palace of the Popes, and the remaining four arches of the Pont d'Avignon (Pont Saint-Benezet), a bridge originally constructed in the late 12th century.Leggi altro
