Travel day to Lisbon

Left Porto and took a 3 1/2 hr bus to Lisbon. Public transportation in Europe is pretty amazing - Trains and buses are really nice and comfortable. The drive thru the country was very “normal”. It almost reminded me of portions of the Eugene to Wilsonville drive. Lots of greenery, farmland and hills in the distance.

We arrived later in the afternoon so didn’t have a chance to see much - just headed out by foot to find dinner and saw a little of the city. Will see much more over the next couple of days.

Lisbon is REALLY hilly - even more so than Porto. To me it feels reminiscent of old town San Francisco. There is a large suspension bridge over the ocean that gives me the feels of the golden gate - and all the hills and trams going up and down take me back to the days of riding cable cars as a child visiting family in San Francisco.もっと詳しく
