    After a short night in the bus I arrived tired in Prague. Nevertheless I went immediately on a walk through the old town of Prague as it was way to early to check in.
    The old town of Prague is really nice, but flooded with people. It's also a quite hot day...

    After my web-check-in yesterday evening I was a bit restless as the status of my seat in the plane was set on standby... Fortunately I recieved an answer to my e-mail from yesterday where they told me that this was more of a misunderstanding as only my seat assignment was not done yet, but my flight is confirmed. - Thank god! :-)
    I couldn't wait to see the lounge where I immediately had a big Vodka-Orange and some chicken legs. Then I thought I should maybe check once more if I can change my standby seat for a real seat at the luggage check-in. So I had to immigrante once more to the Czech Republic by making a full turn through all the passport checks. :-D Now I will enjoy the lounge once now... ;-)

    Nach meinem online-check-in gestern Abend war ich etwas unruhig, da mein Platz-Status im Flug auf Standby gesetzt wurde... Glücklicherweise hab ich heute eine E-Mail auf meine Anfrage von gestern erhalten, in dem von einem Missverständnis die Rede war, da mein Flug zwar bestätigt aber meine Sitzplatzzuweisung erst am Gate erfolgen würde. - Gott sei Dank! :-)
    Ich konnte es kaum erwarten die Lounge zu sehen, in der ich sofort ein großes Vodka-Orange und ein paar Hühnerkeulen hatte. Dann fahr ich, ich or vielleicht noch einmal prüfen, ob ich meine Standby-Sitzplatz gegen einen richtigen Sitzplatz tauschen könnte. Daher reiste ich noch einmal in die tschechische Republik ein, indem ich eine volle Eine durch alle Passkontrollen machte. :-D Nun werde ich nochmal die Lounge genießen... ;-)    Read more

    On my first evening in Seoul I already discovered several beautiful sights. The river is a lovely romantic place to stay at night. The Sungnyemun gate (part of the old city wall) was also lighted very nice. Finally I arrived at the Namdaemun market.
    An meinem ersten Abend hab ich bereits mehrere hübsche Sehenswürdigkeiten entdeckt. Der Fluss ist ein besonders romantischer Ort in der Nacht. Das Sungnyemun Tor (Teil der alten Stadtmauer) war ebenfalls sehr schön beleuchtet. Schließlich erreichte ich noch den Namdaemun Markt.    Read more

    The theme park was really nice. Opening hours from 10:00 to 22:00. Nevertheless I was leaving around 20:15, because I wanted to be home in time due to the Joint Security Area Tour at the border to North Korea that I had booked for the next day.

    Bukchon village - Bukchon Dorf

    Bukchon is a small village area on a hill with beautiful little houses and some nice viewpoints. But there were also some message banners to see. Obviously the local residents don't want all the tourists walking through their village, being loud and messing around.

    Bukchon ist ein kleines Gebiet mit Dorf-Charakter, bezaubernden kleinen Häusern und ein paar netten Aussichtspunkte. Aber es waren dort auch ein paar Banner mit Nachrichten zu sehen. Offensichtlich wollen die lokalen Anwohner nicht mehr, dass die vielen Touristen durch ihre Dorf spazieren und dabei Lärm machen und Schmutz hinterlassen.    Read more

    The train ride to Busan was round about 5,5 hours in the Mugunghwa train, which was not the high speed train KTX... ;-) There was some countryside with light residence to see, but also many bigger cities on the way.

    Talking with my hands to locals who were not speaking English at all I was able to find the right bus going in the right direction to Oryukdo skywalk at the second bus stop. :-)

    First of all I had an excellent Ramen noodle soup when I arrived at Gwangalli beach. It was fabulous! Then I was swimming in the sea, which was perfect and refreshing.

    The ferry port terminal of Busan was much bigger than expected. It really felt like being at an smaller airport. The ferry itself was a Japanese one and offered everything that you could think of: Karaoke rooms, restaurant, cinema, gaming hall and even a Japanese style bath like an Onsen! 😀 The Japanese style bedroom was cozy.

    To catch the best train to Beppu I only had one hour and 8 minutes time - for getting out of the ferry (7:30) until getting in the train (8:38)! Luckily there was a very experienced Backpacker in his 60s in the room who was quite familiar with Fukuoka and could tell me the fastest way to get off the ferry and where to change some money for the bus and where the bus would leave... 😀
    To be one of the first to get off the ferry I put my backpack at 5:15 in front of the ferry gate. After that I went back to the room until 7:10. As soon as the gate was opening at 7:30 everything was happening very quickly. The passport check was ok, but at the customs they also wanted to check my backpack. Of course I had some fruits from Busan with me and they had to check if they are OK to bring to Japan... 😝 After that I was running to the money exchange then running to the bus stop. The bus ride was also about 20 minutes. At the train station I had to pick money from the ATM and at the ticket counter I had to buy the special ticket "Seishun 18 Kippu". Everything worked out fine. - Hard to believe, but 10 minutes before the train left I was at the right track! - I de no idea why I was scratching my head the day before for a plan B... 😂

    Um den besten Zug nach Beppu zu erwischen, hatte ich genau eine Stunde und 8 Minuten Zeit - vom verlassen der Fähre (7:30) bis zum Einsteigen in den Zug (8:38)! Zum Glück war in meinem Schlafraum ein vielgereister koreanischer Backpacker um die 60, der sich in Fukuoka sehr gut auskannte und mir sagen konnte, wie ich als eine der ersten von der Fähre aussteigen, wo ich danach schnell etwas Geld wechseln könnte für den Bus und wo der Bus dann abfahren würde... 😀
    Um möglichst als erster aussteigen zu können stellte ich gleich mal um 05:15 meinen Rucksack als einer der ersten vor das Ein-/Ausstiegstor der Fähre, danach ging es bis 7:10 erstmal test in den Schlafraum. Sobald das Tor dann um 7:30 offen war ging alles Schlag auf Schlag. Passkontrolle war noch ok, aber dann musste ich plötzlich auch noch zur Gepäckskontrolle. Da ich natürlich ein paar Früchte aus Busan im Gepäck hatte, mussten sie die natürlich auch noch überprüfen... 😝 Danach rannte ich zum Geldwechsel, dann zum Bus. Die Busfahrt dauerte auch ca. 20 Minuten. Am Bahnhof musste ich dann erst mal zum Bankomaten, danach zum Ticketschalter um das Spezialticket "Seishun 18 Kippu" zu kaufen. Ging alles glatt und so war ich, kaum zu glauben, doch genau 10 Minuten vor Abfahrt am richtigen Bahnsteig! - Keine Ahnung warum ich mir noch am Vorabend den Kopf über einen möglichen Plan B zerbrochen habe... 😂    Read more
