Stop 3 : Hoorn

Tha day started with a fascinating tour of our hosts' house, originally mid 19th century, now restored to its former glory (or better).

Derk shows Julia the top floor. Derk shows Julia his bedroom. Derk shows Julia the garden. Derk shows Julia the repointing on the front walls. (I was interested too but also taking many photos). We learned much about Haarlem's rich history.

5 hours cycling to Hoorn involving two ferry crossings (thankfully both running today).

Great pub meal. I had a bucket of mussels.

Our hotel is comfortable but Vrienden op der Fiets is hard to beat.Leer más
