Bogota H3 Out-Station (Day 1)

Many thanks to the Bogota H3 for taking me along on their Out-Station hash event this weekend. We had a blast, with a fabulous Saturday trail through Cerro de Quininí, with a stop at the massive rock outcropping overlooking Porto Bello. After the 4 mile A-B trail, we enjoyed Colombian BBQ on the mountain top.

Bogota H3 Hangover Run

After a long, late night of celebration, (partying), the pack looked dismal . . . but after a traditional breakfast, the weary pack reenergized, and set off for a hangover hash run, that took us straight up hill for nearly 2 miles, then cut sharply back down to the completion, where a short circle finished up the last of the beer, before embarking on the 4 hour drive back to Bogota. If you ever get the chance, do not pass up hashing in Colombia. On On!

Tejo

After the 4 mile A-B trail, we enjoyed Colombian BBQ on the mountain top, followed by 2 hours of Tejo, the traditional throwing sport of Colombia. Tejo is similar to Cornhole, but you throw shaped stones at a board of clay. There is a circle in the middle, lined with small explosive charges. Closest to the center scores the points, hitting the charges can also score points.Read more
