Day 13-Bus to Lisbon

Today we made our way to Santiago de Compostela and took an all day bus ride to meet up with my wife Christine. My seat number on the bus was 49. Well….the bus only had 48 seats. That caused a lot of laughter in the back of the bus. Fortunately, the bus was not full. What amazed us most was we rode the bus for the first 2 and 1/2 hours and realized we had walked all that way through the various towns we passed through on the bus. After arriving in Lisbon, we caught a train out to a busy and lovely town of Sintra. It is a very busy tourist town so it was quite a shock for Georgie and I after the tranquility of walking the Camino for the last couple of weeks. We met up with Christine who found a lovely Air B&B that had a lovely garden patio, a couple of young cats, and a great view. Afterwards we went out to a lovely restaurant near our place.Read more
