Day 12-Redondela to Ponteverdra

The last day of our Camino hike was 12 miles. However, it included 2 challenging climbs of several miles. We finished up walking 140 miles in all. Today had great scenery with forests, stone bridges and quaint small villages. In one small town, at a cafe, we got into a conversation with a local woman. She was thrilled we were visiting her town. I conversed with her in my best Spanish and when we left she kissed my hand. That doesn’t happen often. We toured around town in the evening and at dinner 3 Spaniards said they remembered us from the trail. In fact one lady was so impressed to see two elderly folks hiking she took a few pictures……so nice (attached). Every day you see folks you run into often.
