  • Capital Reef National Park

    10 oktober 2016, Förenta staterna ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

After many years we were finally able to camp at Fruita Campground in Capital Reef National Park. We arrived Oct 4 and stayed until 0ct 10, 2016 This Campground does not take reservations, so you have to arrive at a time when folks are leaving. We got the last site available, and the following day we moved to a great site on the Fremont River. The area was settled in the 1880's. The settlers raised live stock and fruit. I think this was my favorite park.Läs mer

  • Visit to Boulder CO

    21 oktober 2016, Förenta staterna ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

We stayed at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Oct 19 - 22, 2016., which has a nice RV facility. Great shopping within walking distance and about 12 miles into Boulder. We had lunch and an English tea at the Dushanbe Tea House. We also walked around the Pearl Street Mall. A nice urban break following the wide open spaces of Utah and NV. Now we are headed home which is about 1750 miles.Läs mer

    1 mars 2017, Förenta staterna ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

We were ready to head to the Lazy Days sales center in Florida. After much contemplating, we decided we just need more creature comforts and fewer repairs and hassles. I wanted a Tiffen, but we also felt it was important to have a rather late model RV. We discovered the Newmar brand which is quality and personal service. They were not easy to find and like Tiffen they were snatched up quickly. We put down a refundable deposit and set out for another adventure. LD in FL offered us a good trade. Goodbye dear old friend you have served us well ❤️❤️❤️Läs mer

  • Out with the old, in with the new

    3 mars 2017, Förenta staterna ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

Lazy Days Florida is truly the Disney of the RV buying world. Absolutely huge operation. We arrived in the dark following an exhausting trip down 75 with delays. Bill had a terrible cold. We were placed in the delivery lot and next to our new RV -the Newmar Bay Star Sport. We were here from March 3 - 9 The staff here was incredible. Everyone was so nice. I met Raye from TX and we had some nice chats. After looking around at other rigs we decided to take the Newmar, I think mainly based on the Newmar reputation for quality and personal service after purchase. It was sad to say goodbye to our little Lazy Daze RV, but we are starting on a new adventure.Läs mer

  • WP Franklin Corps of Engineer Park

    17 mars 2017, Förenta staterna ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

This park is a gem. We were so lucky to get a cancellation for a week. We arrived March 10,2017 in the dark. Fortunately the host called us with the code or we would have been locked out. A long day's drive with preparation at Lazy Days, a trip to W and the drive. The park was just so relaxing with water views in all directions. We met some great people including live aboard couple Chuck and Mary with a lovely Itasca. We stayed in site 20 until the following Friday and then moved to site 26 *****😻 for one lovely night. Friday there was a campground pot luck with live music.Läs mer

  • Dinner with Karen and Guy

    18 mars 2017, Förenta staterna ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

We were traveling through Ocala and Karen and Guy invited us to stay at their house and have dinner. We stayed in our RV which worked out very well. Karen fixed a great dinner of salmon. Before dinner we played a game of pickle ball and also met some neighbors who were first time class A rv'ers. The drive from WP Franklin up 75 was awful and took all day 😬. We left at 9:30, headed N to Santee.Läs mer

  • Santee State Park

    20 mars 2017, Förenta staterna ⋅ ☀️ 4 °C

After a 10 hour drive from Ocala with lots of traffic jams, we pulled in to Santee State Park at 8:00 PM. It was almost dark and the park roads are more like trails. We were so wiped out from the hectic ride. We pulled into the first site that looked like a pull through that had power and room for our New dog pound. This AM is bright and clear and cooler than Florida. We can clearly hear RT 95 and almost see it over the water. Not a destination, but a port in a storm.Läs mer
