Really pretty old lighthouse and no body else around. I sat next to the shore and enjoyed my morning coffee. It was a great beginning to the day.
The view from on lighthouse balcony was spectacular. This was also the site of the Shipwreck museum which was interesting also.
9450 galloon per minute flow, it was alot of water but really awesome. There were several sets of falls and at the Upper Falls there was a Brewery. Great place for lunch and a beer. Camp 33 Brewery,Läs mer
Today is kayaking in a very quiet and peaceful part of the lower river. Maybe I will see a Moose !!! No moose, oh well, paddled for 2 hours looking but only found geese . Really great time.
Dropped trailer at 10:30am, drove into town for festival and was able to get a ticket for boo cruise along Picture rocks national lakeshore. This was a great trip and the pictures do not tell theLäs mer
Woke up to rain and wind. Finally cleared out so out exploring Picture rocks national lakeshore. I am at the northeast edge and will work my way back to camp.
The first site was Sable Falls which wasLäs mer
3.2 mile walk along the shoreline to this lighthouse. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks was just like being along a rocky beach in California. It was a wonderful walk in the woods.
The last stop along the land tour of Picture Rocks was a 1.5 mile hike to Miners Falls, They did not mention the stairs down to the viewing site but was well worth the effort. Another interesting walkLäs mer
Woke up this morning to a gorgeous day. This is the campground I have been staying at that is owned and run by the city of Munising.
