Fes to Midelt

This morning we journeyed over the Moyen Atlas to Midelt. Along the way we stopped at the small town of Ifran, a resort town built by the French early in the 20th century. It can snow up here in the winter and the pace looks like a ski resort.

A bit further up the road we found a band of monkeys that were hoping for a treat.

We continued on to Midelt, where we had a chance to visit a local Berber family home and catch a glimpse of their way of life. It was fascinating to talk to their son, who spoke very good English that he picked up watching American movies.Read more
