I heard they paint the trees white so blind people don't walk into them.

ПутешественникApparently it's a lime-based paint (no, not the fruit). Protects the olive trees from insects and pests (and blind people).

Not overly heavy rain, but it's blowing an absolute gale.

ПутешественникOmg Larry I would have passed out. I was already in need of a whisky when we got back. The guard rails just weren't high enough on the hair pin bends and the roads were way too narrow for passing.... but we survived 😁
