Uluru / Ayers Rock

Early in the morning we started to climb the Uluru. The weather was perfect to climb because the heavy winds stopped and the temperature was below 20°C. Of course there were a lot of other tourists having the same idea, especially as the climb was closed in the last days because of the storm. Even though we were there before opening we had to climb in a row with many others, but once we were up there we could enjoy a breathtaking view. After that we walked around a bit and returned for the sunset later that day. All in all a great day!

Früh am Morgen ging es los zum Uluru! Der Wind hat aufgehört und die Temperaturen sollten unter 20 Grad bleiben, also hatten wir perfekte Bedingungen der Uluru zu besteigen. Obwohl wir noch vor der Öffnung dort waren mussten wir schon in der Schlange stehen. Dadurch hatten wir beim ziemlich steilen Anstieg allerdings genügend Zwangspausen, sodass es gar nicht so anstrengend war. Der Blick von oben über das Outback und auf den Kata Tjuta war dann atemberaubend. Es hat sich gelohnt! Am Abend gab es dann zum Sonnenuntergang nochmal ein Highlight, als er von der Sonne angestrahlt wurde und richtig leuchtete. Ein durchweg gelungener Tag!Read more
