Staying on a boat in Lavrion!

I will be staying on a catamaran for a couple days during my stay in Lavrion. It is interesting seeing the boat charter industry at work. Clients arrive at the port via taxi from the airport, usually, and stay on their chartered boats for a night before sailing off to islands. Much of the local port economy seems to be geared towards tourism and the charter season. There are restaurants, bars, markets, and a department store where tourists can prepare for their week at sea. I will remain in port this time, but I will see the islands by plane.Läs mer
