The house at Otowi Bridge

This unassuming abandoned home has been a train station, a post office and a restaurant among other things in its time. The last resident, Edith Warner was hired here to manage the train station and remained after the station closed to open a shop, tea room and restaurant. Oppenheimer had a standing reservation here during the Manhattan Project, when he chose to dine at places other than the lodge.Read more
