    At the end of the day, it's just a game. That's why I kind of like the Los Alamos' Pierotti Clowns. They formed in 1953 when Los Alamos was still surrounded by security fencing and army checkpoints, and was a very serious town indeed. Launched by two brothers who owned the local soda fountain, the Pierotti's.

    The team were famous for playing with just 5 players on 9 player leagues, and of course being dressed as clowns, including face paint. Despite their comedic appearance, they won 177 of their 202 games over the 25 years that they played.

    They also appeared in the first edition of Sports Illustrated in 1954 (incorporated into the mural).

    So yes this is a mural, celebrating the team, in downtown Los Alamos. Della is too serious for this kind of thing.
