We then visited the famous Cendere Bridge, one of the oldest still-functioning stone bridges in the world. Built during Roman times, it continues to impress visitors with its engineering excellence. The bridge spans the Cendere River in a picturesque setting. Its massive stone arch has survived for nearly two thousand years. Despite being built without modern technology, the structure remains remarkably stable. Walking across the bridge allowed us to enjoy its historic atmosphere. The surrounding mountains created a stunning backdrop. Informational signs explained the history of the bridge and its builders. Cendere Bridge is considered one of Anatolia's most significant Roman monuments. Visiting it was another highlight of our journey.
