A windy morning in Hout Bay

We were up early again this morning for our last sightseeing day in Cape Town. Sadly, the weather was much colder and cloudier than yesterday, but, undeterred, we walked down to the waterfront and caught the first blue route bus of the day. This time, we stayed on the bus until we reached Hout Bay. This fishing port, with its lovely white sandy beach and array of restaurants and gift shops, must be heaving in the summer. Today, it was blowing a gale when we got off the bus! There were still tourists around, though, and our pre-booked boat trip to Duiker Island (aka Seal Island) was still running despite the wind.Read more
