    Cheetahs in Serengeti

    Our next sighting was of a female cheetah and her three cubs! Cheetah sightings are pretty rare, so we were all excited to see them. Once again, the other vehicle was unable to get close to them like we did, so words were exchanged over the radio between Mankinga and Nash. We reassured Mankinga that we were on his side and thanked him for all his efforts on our behalf.

    We then saw a group of elephants on a grassy plain. Mankinga explained that you can easily distinguish between male and female elephants. Males have round heads, and females have square ones!
