Best Western Meridian Plus Hotel

Once we had said our goodbyes, we took a taxi to our hotel, the Best Western Meridian Plus. It wasn’t far, but it was just easier with all our luggage. When we got there, we were welcomed by the concierge, Patrick, a really friendly guy who sorted out our bags, directed us to check-in, and brought us a welcome drink. It was just what we needed after an exhausting few days! He showed us to our very comfortable room and explained how everything works. We have a nice city view and a chaise longue where I’ll probably be spending quite a bit of time! 😂

We unpacked, sorted out our laundry (at an extortionate price!), had showers, and went for a drink. We headed for the pool bar on the roof, but there was a very noisy private graduation party going on, so we went to the downstairs bar instead. After a couple of drinks, we went through to the restaurant for dinner. They serve international dishes, but they have an Indian chef, so we chose the Indian option. The food was good, even if the masala poppadoms were rather too spicy for me!

Back in the room, we ended up staying up later than we intended as we watched today’s action from the World Athletics Championships.Baca lagi
