First impressions of Kathmandu

I slept pretty well, despite the fact that the bed is rather hard. There's a Buddhist temple just next door, and the half-hourly bell ringing began at 5am. I guess I'll just have to get used to it 😄. 

The view from my window turned out to be pretty good. It's great for people watching 😂

After unpacking and having a coffee, I went out to explore. I didn't go far because I've booked a walking tour for tomorrow, which I'm sure will give me a greater understanding of the history and culture of the city.

I was happy to see lots of fabric shops in the vicinity of my hotel. There's some realIy interesting architecture, too.

I watched some kind if protest going by. I don't know what the issue was, but everyone was very good-natured.Læs mere
