    December 31, 2017 in Slovakia ⋅ 🌫 2 °C

I honest and truly hate Germans. Well, party groups anyway.
Consideration for others isn't a thing.
They came home clang bang boom. Turned on the lights open the window - it was freakin snowing by the way.. they sat up chatting for a half hour. SHUT UP OMGGGG.

Today was a good day though. We eventually got moving and went to subway - closed :(
Trusty McDonald's AGAIN 😓😓😓 bloody hell.

We then walked to Bratislava castle but to get there you had to walk through the historic centre which was really nice. The snow of the rooftops really added to it.

The climb to the castle was a killer and the route didn't really make sense. Not sure we took the most direct path 🤔😅
Got to the top and the building itself is actually really boring looking - just big and white but the views were hectic.
We sat on a seat looking out for a while. The ground was covered in ice so we were stoked the chair wasn't wet lol.
Will is in a good mood - he keeps offering to take pictures of me lol

We walked back down and headed to the main square - i bought my magnet today just in case everything is shit tomorrow. I bought it of the working man statue - even though I hadn't yet seen it it's a talking point of the city so I like it.
We weren't even looking for it but we found him. It's a dude in the floor.

Bratislava has a lot of statues though. Saw a good 15 others that people were also getting photos with. I got a few too :)

I like Slovakia. It's kind of ugly and yet pretty too which makes zero sense .. but yet it's true.
Each street brings something new. One will be falling apart but then the next is really modern.

They still had Christmas markets In the square.

    We headed back home.

I fell asleep but the Germans came home and the couple (forgot to mention we have 5 roommates even though there is only 4 beds 😑😑😑😑😒) were being errr shall we say inappropriate. Will took a photo hahahahah
    Yuck.
    They thankfully have left now.

Subway reopened so we had it for dinner.

Slogan "new year, new man" - WILL VOLUNTARILY PUT VEGETABLES ON HIS SUBWAY 😱😱😱

Ok so the Germans came back and were sooooooooo loud and annoying. I sat there an openly death stares then. They then started to light sparklers.

    Basically a long story short.
After 2 hours they sensed my anger and asked if we wanted to participate. We said no but they just kept on insisting so we got up.
They gave us each a metal item.
You put the metal on a spoon and melt it.
You then put the liquid into water where it becomes solid again. Whatever shape it makes is what your future holds.
    it's a german tradition.
    Apparently I have luck.
The lighter stoped working with wills but I think we went with something about passion.
I will admit it was fun.
They have gone back out again but I slipped into convo that I'm sick so hopefully they are quieter when they come home.
    Still super rude.

The room now smells and I will dobb them in so fast if we get in trouble.

Also alarming how different he safety standards are. At first we were like what idiots they will set the fire alarm off.
Then we checked. No alarm. No fire evacuation route and a fire truck would jot be able to enter the car park. Terrific.

This matches what we saw at an ice rink today. A brand new car on display as a centre piece - DUMB - people might crash into it
But the safety thing was that they just built it around park benches so it someone slips they will go straight into them.
I'll upload these 2 pics in the post from 2 days ago because I think I have 2 free photo slots.
