    Cycling along the Danube - Wachau Valley

    Avalanche blocking the road! We had planned a lovely day in the Wachau Valley of Austria, cycling along the Danube River through small villages along the way. After an hour or so, we found the path closed due to an avalanche!!! Our options were to cycle over what was basically a small mountain with our 3-speed bicycles, or rerun to our village and enjoy an afternoon in the hotel spa (the only hotel we stayed in with a spa!).
