Vienna at Night

It was so hot today, and we'd had our fill of sunny palace grounds. So we went back to our room to lie down for the afternoon. After we got up we decided to walk around town a bit. We headed down to the river where we found a lively scene with tons of young people and bars along the riverfront. Then walked down Kohlmarkt, full of designer shops. We saw several young guys walking around in tuxes, one of them carrying a mask! Going to a ball? Finally, we had drinks and dessert at Cafe Central , a traditional Vienna Cafe opened in 1878. It was later a key meeting place of the Viennese intellectual scene. Regulars included Trotsky, Freud, Stalin, and Hitler. It is absolutely gorgeous and looks like a cathedral inside!Lue lisää
