Arrived in Munich via Doha. Snow on the Austrian alps and -40 C outside.
Driven to Passau by hosts in pm then into recovery mode for the evening. Les mer

    Went to Austria this morning to fill up Philipp’s car with diesel (20c cheaper there).
    Toured the city, shops, power plant (50MW) and locks on the Danube, side by side.
    Then to the bike dealer (100km away) but the bike was not ready - found a clutch problem on their test ride so new clutch going in tomorrow morning after it arrives overnight.Les mer

    Picked up the bike then both car and bike to Munich to pick up Jill at the airport.
    A few light showers then back to Passau.
    Cars zip past even when you are doing 140 mph.

    Time to do some kilometres before it rains. However we did have a few showers going through a national park and forests. Took a long cut from the cafe in Zwiesel. Too busy to take photos.
    I do know why they drive on the right in Europe - so motorcycle riders can acknowledge each other with the left hand meaning the throttle is uneffected.Les mer

    Germany to the Austria border and up the mountains and down again into Italy. Relatively steep and long descent at 110kph. Dangerous. Corten steel type barriers. Jill found this lake village - wonderful. A few short showers.Les mer

    Rode alongside the lake at 50kph mostly through the very picturesque and tourist populated east side of the lake - Lago de Guarda. Then to Asti to sleep.

    Several kilometres today to get us closer to Toulouse. Nearly lost a credit card in the toll booth. Held up many cars until a maintenance man came. Next section didn’t receive a toll ticket then had to try to explain. Caused another blockage.
    Also got overtaken many times when we were doing the legal 130kph. Madness.    Les mer
