    Beinahe wären wir fast vorbei gefahren: dem berühmten keltischen Hochkreuz, dem Rundturm, der zu den Resten eines Klosters aus dem 6. Jahrhundert gehört, und dem Grab von W. B. Yates.

    Drumcliff, Tomb of Yeats

    Today is definitely the day with the best weather so far, but unfortunately it's also the one with the fewest sightseeing stops. On our way to Kellerkenny (where we will overnight) we quickly stop at Drumcliff, a small town among the green Irish mountains.

    The name of this place might not say anything (at least it doesn't to me), but it's actually quite an important one: here stands a beautiful gothic church surrounded by a cemetery. And this graveyard hosts the tomb of the famous Irish poet W. B. Yeats. Quite surprisingly, his grave is not a prominent one: it just has a stone similar to the others and no flowers, plants or even grass before it!
