Dunhuang Yardang Geopark 敦煌雅丹地质公园

The park is 160kms away from Dunhuang, covers about 400 Sqkms. Yardang is the typical landform under extreme dry climate. The landform was the result of wind and water erosions on the Quaternary sediment during the past 100,000 years. The major landscape includes many different shapes like a palace, a human figure or whatever you can imagine.
This location has also been selected for shooting movies.
