Janette took Kathy and Peter to Wangaratta this morning. Peter had an appointment at the fracture clinic. First an x-ray then to the clinic. All's well but he probably needs another six weeks on light duties.
On the way to pick them up - 8.45am - she bumped into the Telstra tech. He wasn't happy about the afternoon timeslot so he was there now. Janette told him the house was unlocked and to go in if necessary. He said he could fix it without going in. It's fixed!
I went up to Catherine and Darren's at 8.00 to help with preg testing. We needed to have the cows yarded in time for the testers, Mark and Bronwyn's arrival at 9.00.
We really had to work hard to get them in. Darren had a roll of hay on the tractor but the cows aren't hungry. We had to push them in.
Anyway - 48 cows tested - 46 pregnant. Good news - for us also as the bull responsible for those pregnancies is out 'working' with our cows right now.
This afternoon, Janette made the cumquat marmalade (which set - hooray!) and I started to put the slats on the repositioned screen. After dinner Janette had a rush of blood and started painting the screen - this job may not take too long to complete.
