• Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens.

After another long brekky with our new brekky companions, we set off for the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens.
Got there about 11.00am and had a good walk around.
They are well worth a visit. Because they are situated high in the Blue Mountains, many of the trees and shrubs are cold climate plants. Although the site is steep, it is possible to take gentle zip-zag paths and avoid the straight up and down steps.
One of the most interesting trees was the Wollemi Pine with its fascinating story of its discovery.
We always try to purchase an item as a reminder of our holidays. Perhaps a Wollemi Pine might be the item for this holiday's memento (?).
