Roosevelt Island 🚠

Lunchtime on Roosevelt Island! Thanks to a tip off from my Mum’s friend I jumped on the metro to Roosevelt Island and from there took the cable car back to 2nd Avenue!

The cable car was totally surreal being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of New York, and travelling in between the skyscrapers, was a fantastic experience. Though getting on it was a nightmare, they didn’t take cards, and you needed a NYC metro card- which I didn’t have. Sadly I couldn’t buy one as the machine kept refusing foreign cards. Anyway 10 minutes, and a free metro card later I was allowed on the cable car for free 😂Læs mere
